SINGLE ISSUE - NEEDS ONE OF YOUR VOTES
Westminster residents have form a new ‘single issue party’ for the local elections on May 3rd, called Campaign Against Pedestrianisation of Oxford Street.
The party is fielding, one candidate in each of the three wards that surround Oxford Street, namely: Bryanston and Dorset Square ward; Marylebone High Street ward, and West End ward.

ON OXFORD STREET
After a successful career in The City in the Insurance/Reinsurance sector Mike retired in 2000 and moved to Mayfair in 2002. Since then he has been heavily involved in Community matters within the area and for many years was active on the committee of the Mayfair Residents Group. Mike became the "voice" of local opposition to the commercialisation of Hyde Park. He is currently the vice-chairman of the Mayfair Neighbourhood Forum and one of those responsible for the development of its Neighbourhood Plan.
Ron for many years specialised in New Product Development and ran his own advertising consultancy. He moved to Mayfair in 1975 where he married and raised a family and Mayfair has been his home ever since. About 10 years ago he became a founding member of the Mayfair Residents Group of which he is still the Chairman. The Group has been very active in promoting the residents cause in crucial areas such as planning and licensing.
Kevin has lived and worked in Marylebone for most of the last 30 years. For much of that time he was Dean of Students at International Students House and active in numerous voluntary community roles. He is the recipient of a number of awards including the Westminster Volunteer Award and in 2015 made a Freeman of the City of London. From 2000 to the present date, he has been secretary to the Marylebone Association and Chair of the Marylebone Forum since 2015. He has also been a member of the St Marylebone Rotary Club since 1993.
